Loqate Address Capture
Impact
78% reduction in address data entry time
20% reduction in input errors
Supports 250+ countries and 130+ address formats
Challenge
Entering addresses is a common point of friction for users, particularly across different countries, formats, and languages. Manual entry is slow, error-prone, and often leads to drop-off during critical flows such as checkout and account creation. The challenge was to design an experience that could handle global complexity while remaining fast, simple, and intuitive for everyday users.
Solution
I designed the original Address Capture product, creating a real-time autocomplete experience that validates and formats addresses as users type. The design focused on speed, clarity, and progressive disclosure — reducing typing effort while handling complex global address rules behind the scenes. The product has since evolved through continuous enhancement, adapting to new data sources, address formats, and customer needs over time.
Execution
The work included the design of the autocomplete interaction, suggestion hierarchy, validation states, and error handling. Visual and interaction patterns were refined over time to support speed, accessibility, and global usability.
